Relaxin', Waitin' and Wondering

Well, it is official, there are embryos inside me. We had the implanting procedure yesterday afternoon. It was simple and pretty fascinating. We even got photos of our embryos, making it feel very scientific. In my hope, I imagine showing our kids pics and saying, "here you are as an embryo" -  ha!

Now we begin the waiting process to see if the implanting works  – to see if the steps over the past several weeks (plus our creator's touch) result in a successful pregnancy. 

The doctors instructions for now, "relax, preferably lying down for the next two days." Of course, the research is mixed on if the best option is rest or to continue on with regular life and work but I am following our doctor's advice.

Sitting here, I find I am afraid to move wanting to be as relaxed as possible, hoping the whole thing works! I realize it is silly to be paralyzed in fear of moving but if feels like so much is up in the air.

When not wasting my mind on goofy Netflix shows, the ongoing loop in my mind continues, "Will this work? What if doesn't... enjoy the moment, how exciting it is we are at this point . . . What if doesn't work... Relax ... Ahhhhh ..." (and repeat).

For now, we wait and live in this moment - in all the thoughts, and feelings that it includes. It is exciting to be here; scary but exciting.
